Orjenise 100

What is it?

I am Jenn Jordan, the creator of the #Orjenise100 challenge in which the only rule is at least 100 items go from your home within 30 days

Running in September and January on Instagram using daily videos and prompts this is a fun, slow way of using, rehoming and donating 100 plus items

This has helped lots of followers to get rid of 100 plus items in an easy way, hitting a lot of different areas of their homes

Why is it needed?

I found that a lot of decluttering books and challenges focus on intense lengths of time and sustained effort. As a former messy person I found that I would that this often became overwhelming.

I believe if you are decluttering your own items it is much more sustainable to do it in small, regular chunks of time. It keeps it fun and interesting.

How do I take part?

You can follow on instagram in January and September

How do I count?

As long as it is in the spirit of the challenge (i.e. 100 paperclips do not count as 100 items) then feel free to count however you like.

Do I need to do it everyday?

Don’t worry if you are on holiday, miss a few days or found out about me after it started, there is only one rule which is 100 items out within 30 days. You could even do it all at once.

Where do I take items?

This will be covered each day but great places are:

  • Beauty banks for new unused toiletries

  • Food banks for new unused food

  • Olio for giving things away

  • Charity shops for anything in great sellable condition

  • Vinted/Ebay for selling
